Science and Technological Advances in Horror
Day 27 brought us on a beyond-the-clown ride with circus-themed horror films in Carnival Nightmares. For Day 28 of 31 Days of Horror Movie Challenge: Tech Terrors, we explore science and technological advances in horror. From surgical horror with 1960’s Eyes Without A Face, 1986’s The Fly exploring teleportation, 1993’s Cronos blending alchemy with vampirism, and 2001’s Pulse examining modern technology, each film has impacted the horror film genre on science-based horror throughout decades of technological advancements.
